Tehran: (RightNow) The Iranian government has announced an increase in fuel prices for consumers using more than 110 liters monthly. Starting September 8, these consumers will pay 10,000 tomans per liter.

Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that previously, the price beyond 110 liters was 5,000 tomans per liter. This decision will not affect regular consumers using up to 110 liters.

The spokesperson further added that there is no change in prices for consumers using up to 110 liters. The price for the first 60 liters remains at 1,500 tomans, and the next 50 liters at 3,000 tomans.

This measure is part of efforts to stabilize Iran’s economy and encourages high fuel users to limit their consumption.

It is important to note that one toman is equivalent to 10 rials in Iranian currency, playing a significant role in price determination.
