Tehran: (RightNow) Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqai states that the US policy to economically isolate Iran has become a mere joke.

Baqai, in a statement on X, claims the US is attempting to succeed in its alliance efforts by bringing Bahrain forward.

He further mentions that Iran has no significant economic ties with Bahrain, and the US is presenting suspended matters as new sanctions.

Baqai asserts that Washington’s policy lacks justification, as the US imposes sanctions that are already in place.

It is noteworthy that the US Treasury Secretary confirmed discussions with the Bahraini counterpart to maintain financial pressure on Iran.
