Aleema Khan refutes claims that Imran Khan instructed sisters to avoid politics, dismissing them as agency rumors.
Rawalpindi: (RightNow) Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, stated that Imran Khan did not instruct her or her sisters to stay away from politics. She dismissed such reports as agency-driven rumors during a conversation with journalists.
Outside the Anti-Terrorism Court, Aleema Khan clarified that Imran Khan did not discuss politics with Noreen Niazi or Dr. Uzma. She blamed the media for spreading agency-generated news.
She further mentioned that the Supreme Court’s order for Imran Khan’s hospital transfer was broadcast as breaking news in over 80 countries. If the transfer does not occur, global media will report it again.
Aleema Khan emphasized her compliance with the Supreme Court’s directive to discuss medical reports. Facts concerning Dr. Uzma and Dr. Faisal Sultan were presented in a press conference.
It is noteworthy that during the protest case hearing in the Anti-Terrorism Court, Aleema Khan took the stand in response to a prosecution question. Her lawyer attempted to stop her, prompting the judge’s displeasure and a pause in the proceedings.
