Islamabad: (RightNow) Twenty-one former cricket captains worldwide have written to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, demanding a medical examination and treatment for former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to a cricket website, the letter states that the Supreme Court had directed Imran Khan to be transferred to a hospital. His personal physicians and sister, Dr. Uzma Khan, were also part of the medical board.

The former captains expressed concern that Imran Khan’s hospital stay was limited to a few hours. The government team declared him fit and sent him back to jail.

The former captains presented three demands, including an independent examination, restoration of family visits, and immediate treatment.

It is noteworthy that former world captains had previously written to the Prime Minister. Imran Khan served as Prime Minister from 2018 to 2022 and was later convicted in various cases.
