Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the master plan for the National Agriculture Research Center. The meeting reviewed the implementation of government policy measures for the development of the agricultural sector.

The Prime Minister directed to provide support to small and medium-sized farmers and ensure the supply of quality seeds. He emphasized the activation of agricultural research institutions.

The Prime Minister instructed to establish a comprehensive system for crop production estimates. Research institutions were urged to align with international standards.

Under the master plan for reforms at the National Agriculture Research Center, modern facilities are being established. The plan also includes the establishment of international cooperation centers.

It is noteworthy that under the Agriculture Innovation and Growth Plan 2026-27, rapid implementation of agricultural development measures is underway. The use of modern technology and artificial intelligence is also being prioritized.
