FIFA has imposed bans on Argentine players, including Leandro Paredes and Molina, after a World Cup final clash.
Zurich: (RightNow) FIFA has taken strict action against Argentine players and officials following a clash after the World Cup final. Bans and fines have been imposed on them.
FIFA has banned Argentina’s Leandro Paredes for 10 international matches, while Molina has been suspended for 7 matches.
Paredes and Molina have been fined a total of $90,000. The Argentine Football Association has also been fined $321,000.
Argentina’s coaching staff member Roberto Ayala has been banned for 3 matches.
It is noteworthy that Spanish footballer Xavi has also been suspended for one match and fined $30,000.
