Sindh government launches electronic medical records and telehealth services for mental health and breast cancer.
Karachi: (RightNow) The Sindh government has initiated measures in the health sector, including electronic medical records, mental health, and breast cancer. Provincial Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho announced these projects during a seminar.
Dr. Azra Pechuho stated that lady health workers are being trained to recognize mental health symptoms. Women will be informed about the early signs of breast cancer.
She revealed that a telehealth service is being launched for mental health facilities. The telehealth system will connect districts with each other.
Clinical psychologists will play a crucial role in enhancing mental health services. The government is preparing a new policy for postgraduate medical education.
It is noteworthy that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of ICU beds in Sindh was increased. Decisions were made to enhance ICU facilities in Larkana, Sukkur, and Hyderabad.
