Muzaffarabad: (RightNow) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has completed hearings on alleged electoral fraud in LA-17 Haveli and reserved its verdict. The decision pertains to allegations of rigging in the constituency of Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.

PML-N candidate Chaudhry Mohsin Aziz filed a recount request. The Chief Election Commissioner heard the case, where objections were raised on alleged tampering of Form 24.

Lawyers from both sides presented their arguments regarding the recount. The Election Commission deemed the PML-N candidate’s request admissible and summoned the parties in person.

Local journalist Kashif Mir reported that the Election Commission had annulled the controversial Form 26 from Haveli, while Form 27 circulating on social media was declared fake.

It is noteworthy that in the three-phase elections, PML-N secured the most seats, while the People’s Party came second.
