Tehran: (RightNow) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warns France and Western countries against lecturing on human rights. Araghchi, in a statement on social media platform X, labels the behavior of France and others as hypocritical, citing their support for Israeli actions in Gaza.

The Iranian Foreign Minister stated that France’s moral standing to advise on human rights is compromised. Araghchi accused Western countries of supporting Israeli actions while taking measures against Iran, undermining their global claims.

Araghchi emphasized that countries supporting controversial human rights policies should review their conduct before lecturing others. His statement comes amid ongoing disputes between Iran and Western nations.

It is noteworthy that Iran and Western countries have significant disagreements over the Gaza conflict, Iran’s nuclear program, and regional security. Iran consistently accuses the US and its allies of supporting Israel.

No immediate response from the French government has been reported regarding Araghchi’s statement.
