Chandigarh: (RightNow) An Indian court has summoned Salman Khan, his sister Alvira Khan, and directors of a jewelry company in a fraud case. The case was filed by Chandigarh businessman Arun Gupta, who invested in a ‘Being Human’ jewelry showroom.

The court has ordered all accused to appear on October 5 to respond to the allegations. Arun Gupta claims he was misled with false promises, resulting in a loss of crores of rupees.

The petition states that Arun Gupta spent approximately 3 crore rupees on the showroom, including 1 crore on construction. The company failed to provide business support as promised, affecting the business.

The company denies the allegations, stating Salman Khan had no role in the 2018 agreement. The Salman Khan Foundation only licensed the ‘Being Human’ brand.

It is noteworthy that this case against Salman Khan emerged after his brother Sohail Khan revealed childhood sexual harassment.
