Washington: (RightNow) AI fraud has resulted in a loss of $2.48 trillion for Americans in one year. According to the FBI, investment-related AI fraud alone has caused a $1.75 trillion loss.

The FBI reports that deepfake technology is being used to replicate faces, voices, and videos. It is possible to mimic up to 85% of a person’s voice using just a few seconds of audio.

Authorities are attempting to access systems of OpenAI and Anthropic models. Media reports indicate this loss occurred over the past year.

This loss is due to the rapid growth of cybercrime, which has significantly impacted the US economy.

It is noteworthy that with the increasing use of AI technology, cybersecurity challenges are also on the rise.
