Lahore: (RightNow) The government has rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s request to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan. The request was made for a rally on August 5.

A hearing was held at Lahore High Court on the request of PTI leader Mian Usman Akram. Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf presided over the hearing.

The government lawyer informed the court that PTI’s request was denied. PTI’s lawyer demanded an alternative venue for the rally.

The court instructed the government lawyer to consult the Deputy Commissioner and inform the court if an alternative venue can be provided.

It is noteworthy that the Lahore High Court has temporarily adjourned the proceedings. This issue is significant for PTI’s rally.
