Health Minister Mustafa Kamal backs Mohsin Naqvi’s call for new administrative units in Pakistan.
Multan: (RightNow) Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal supports Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s stance on creating new administrative units in Pakistan. He expressed this view during a speech at an event in Multan.
Mustafa Kamal further stated that Pakistan is larger than 180 countries and cannot be managed under the current federal and provincial system. Therefore, establishing more administrative units is essential.
He revealed that every year, 4 lakh children die from preventable diseases. He also declared Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui as his chairman.
The Federal Minister added that 11 million people in the country suffer from Hepatitis C, and every third person has diabetes. He mentioned that the pricing of medicines is a cabinet matter, not the health minister’s responsibility.
It is noteworthy that DRAP has deregulated the prices of some medicines, and he stated that this issue is under cabinet consideration.
