Tehran: (RightNow) Iran has labeled the European Union’s stance on human rights as hypocritical. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqai expressed a strong reaction to the EU’s statement.

He stated that the EU talks about human rights while supporting attacks in Iran. These attacks target civilians and essential infrastructure.

Ismail Baqai noted that the EU remains silent on war crimes in Iran and ignores the children killed by US bombings.

This issue arose after EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas commented on human rights violations in Iran.

It is noteworthy that EU-Iran relations have previously been tense over human rights, and this new statement is part of the ongoing dispute.
