Islamabad: (RightNow) Flaws in FBR’s Faster Refund System have been revealed, affecting exporters. The Federal Tax Ombudsman has identified issues in the Federal Board of Revenue’s system and demanded immediate corrective actions.
The Federal Ombudsman stated that these flaws are impacting the efficient performance of exporters in obtaining automated refunds. Exporters are facing difficulties due to this issue.
Federal Tax Ombudsman Zafar Hijazi, in a decision on a company’s complaints, said the Faster System fails to differentiate between commercial exports and non-commercial sample exports.
This issue is significant for exporters and affects their refund claims, posing a threat to national exports.
It is noteworthy that FBR introduced the Faster Refund System for exporters to expedite their refund claims processing.
