Islamabad: (RightNow) Inflation in Pakistan has accelerated further. In the first week of September for the fiscal year 2026-27, the inflation rate increased by 0.65%.

According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, prices of 17 items increased this week. Prices of 7 items decreased, while 27 items remained stable.

Prices of chicken, onions, potatoes, garlic, mustard oil, lentils, and petrol have risen. Petrol prices recorded a 0.90% increase.

Statistics show a decrease in prices of sugar, jaggery, eggs, chickpeas, and mung lentils. A notable 2.54% decrease was observed in banana prices.

It is noteworthy that the rise in inflation affects the daily life of the common man. The government continues efforts to control inflation.
