Islamabad: (RightNow) The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has increased the prices of petroleum products. These new prices will be effective nationwide from September 4.

The price of petrol per liter has increased by Rs 2.84, bringing the new price to Rs 349 per liter.

High-speed diesel has also seen a price hike of Rs 2.28, setting the new price at Rs 374.31 per liter.

The increase in petroleum product prices may lead to higher travel expenses for citizens. The rise in diesel prices will also affect freight costs and essential goods prices.

It should be noted that these prices have been revised under the federal government’s revised petroleum pricing mechanism. The new prices will remain in effect from September 4, 2026, until the next revision.
