Rawalpindi: (RightNow) Terrorists attacked a checkpost in Tank, crashing an explosive-laden vehicle, resulting in the martyrdom of 15 security personnel. In retaliation, 12 terrorists were killed.

According to ISPR, the India-backed terrorist group ‘Fitna Al-Khawarij’ attacked a joint security checkpost in Tank district during the night of July 23 and 24.

The attackers attempted to breach the security perimeter, but swift action by security forces thwarted their plans, killing 12 fleeing terrorists.

During the attack, the explosive-laden vehicle hit the outer wall of the checkpost, causing significant damage. Among the 15 martyrs were 12 army soldiers, 2 police officers, and a forestry department official.

It is noteworthy that security forces are committed to eradicating foreign-backed terrorism in the country, and clearance operations against potential terrorists in the area are ongoing.
