Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa declares August 5 rally decisive, plans future strategy.
Peshawar: (RightNow) Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, declares the August 5 rally as decisive, announcing plans for future actions. He stated in a parliamentary meeting that all responsibilities for the rally preparations have been assigned.
The Chief Minister mentioned that for public convenience, the rally venue has been shifted to an open field near Peshawar Motorway. He noted that since October 15, 2025, legal avenues have been pursued, but opponents have not responded.
Muhammad Sohail Afridi stated that he has approached the courts to meet the PTI founder. He accused the federal government of treating Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government as second-class citizens.
The Chief Minister demanded that the PTI founder’s family be granted visitation and top-notch medical facilities. He called for impartial investigations into the events of May 9.
It is noteworthy that the public voted in the name of the PTI founder, and rejecting their mandate is an insult to the people. Despite all narratives, issues remain unresolved, making peaceful protest the last constitutional option.
