Cholpon-Ata: (RightNow) Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar states that direct communication between Iran and the USA has resumed after 47 years following talks in Islamabad. He advises the global community to seize opportunities arising from the Islamabad Accord.

In the meeting, Ishaq Dar mentioned that Pakistan hosted negotiations between Iran and the USA in April. He emphasized that lasting conflict resolution is achievable through dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual respect.

Ishaq Dar urged the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to press Afghan Taliban to fulfill anti-terrorism commitments. He noted that Afghan Taliban are providing a conducive environment for terrorist groups.

He stated that terrorism from Afghan soil poses a significant security challenge to Pakistan. Pakistan desires a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Afghanistan. The SCO is effectively cooperating against terrorism and extremism.

It is noteworthy that trade among SCO member countries has increased manifold. This forum has become a comprehensive platform for promoting economy, culture, and peace.
