Canva announces a competition to redesign PIA’s brand, offering substantial prizes. This initiative aims to restore public trust in the airline.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Canva has announced a nationwide competition to redesign the brand of Pakistan’s national airline, PIA. The company has offered to cover the campaign expenses and provide substantial prizes for the winners.
Canva’s General Manager for the Middle East and North Africa, Ahmed Iqbal, stated that the company is in contact with PIA’s top management. He mentioned that the project aims to revamp PIA’s old logo and design.
Ahmed Iqbal expressed that this initiative could restore public trust in the airline. He posted on social media, saying, “Design by Pakistanis, for Pakistan.”
It is important to note that with PIA’s new ownership, the airline is striving to improve itself. Involving the public in this transformation could enhance national pride.
Some concerns have been raised about the offer, suggesting that painting the planes might increase their weight. Experts emphasize the need to balance aesthetics with technical requirements.
