FBR collects Rs 329 billion from excise and sales tax, Rs 45 billion more than last year.
Islamabad: (RightNow). The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has significantly increased its tax collections. A total of Rs 329 billion has been collected through Federal Excise Duty and General Sales Tax.
The FBR collected Rs 329 billion in the fiscal year 2025-26, which is Rs 45 billion more than the Rs 284 billion collected last year.
Official sources have estimated the additional revenue from Federal Excise Duty and General Sales Tax at Rs 45 billion.
This increase by the FBR is a positive step for the national economy, aiding in the government’s financial expansion.
It is noteworthy that in the past, the government faced financial difficulties due to unmet tax collection targets.
