Riyadh: (RightNow) Two Saudi oil tankers bound for Asia turned back from the Red Sea after a threat from the Houthi group. The Houthis warned of targeting Saudi ships.

The Houthis issued a warning letter to shipping companies, threatening to target vessels carrying Saudi oil. In response, U.S. President Donald Trump cautioned that the U.S. would retaliate if an attack occurred.

This conflict has caused global crude oil prices to rise by over 2%. Prices have now reached $91 per barrel.

Amid this tension, the scope of conflict in the region has expanded, with U.S. military bases in Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan being targeted.

It is noteworthy that recent U.S. attacks on Iran resulted in 50 civilian deaths, and the U.S. Defense Secretary reported expenses of $37.5 billion.
