Rawalpindi: (RightNow) Rainfall occurred in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and other cities. A cloudburst in Neelum Valley and Mansehra caused flooding in streams, affecting several homes and shops.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned of flooding in eastern rivers and urban areas until July 23. Heavy rains are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and upper Punjab.

NDMA has advised the public to obtain information from official sources and download the NDMA Disaster Alert mobile application for timely alerts and safety instructions.

It is important to note that floods are also expected in the Chenab and Jhelum rivers. Flash floods and hill torrents have been forecasted for these areas.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the monsoon rains will continue in various parts of the country until July 25, raising concerns of potential flooding.
