US airstrikes on Iran continue, killing 7 and damaging infrastructure.
Washington: (RightNow) Tensions escalate between the US and Iran as US military conducts airstrikes on Iran for the sixth consecutive day. According to US Central Command, the strikes aim to weaken Iran’s military capabilities and damage its infrastructure.
Iranian media reports that a significant bridge in the city of Bandar Khamir, Hormozgan province, was targeted. The attack severely damaged the bridge and resulted in 7 fatalities.
Officials stated that 9 individuals were injured and have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Further strikes damaged the Keyhwaristan Bridge and residential areas in Bandar Abbas.
According to Iranian agency Tasnim, a communication tower near Bandar Abbas was also destroyed, affecting electricity supply. US officials have not disclosed details of the targets.
It is noteworthy that US operations continue to weaken Iran’s military capabilities, while Iranian authorities are assessing the damages.
