Tel Aviv: (RightNow) A dispute has arisen between Israel’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Defense over the presence of US refueling planes. This has introduced new challenges for the country’s aviation operations.

According to Israeli media, the Ministry of Transport has demanded alternative arrangements for the US planes. The Transport Minister has decided to halt the landing of these planes at Ben Gurion Airport.

The US had sent four additional planes to Israel amid rising tensions with Iran. These planes were moved to Israel to avoid threats from Iranian attacks.

These refueling planes can provide fuel to fighter jets mid-flight, enabling long-distance operations. This situation has put pressure on the national aviation system.

It is noteworthy that after a reduction in tensions between the US and Iran in June, the return of these planes had begun. However, the current situation has once again highlighted the issue.
