Gaza: (RightNow) The Israeli military conducted an airstrike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, targeting and killing Hamas elite unit ‘Nukhba’ commander Muhammad Mahmoud Murshid Al-Qadi.

An Israeli military spokesperson stated that Muhammad Al-Qadi was targeted based on intelligence information. They claimed Al-Qadi led an attack against Israel in October 2023.

According to the spokesperson, Al-Qadi was responsible for holding Israeli hostages in Rafah and was actively enhancing Hamas’s military capabilities.

The Hamas commander was also accused of planning further attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. The Israeli military deemed his killing necessary to eliminate threats.

It is noteworthy that on October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a major attack on Israel, resulting in 1,500 deaths, and Israel’s counterattack led to over 100,000 Palestinian casualties.
