Islamabad: (RightNow) Three Pakistani hostages have been safely rescued in Somalia. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that the Pakistani crew was on the MT Honor 25 vessel.

The crew included Imran Ali, Muhammad Yaseen, and Syed Hussain Yousuf. They have been transferred from Djibouti to Addis Ababa. Their return is expected on the first available flight.

The Pakistani government thanked the Somali government and the European Union Naval Force for their cooperation. This collaboration was crucial in securing the crew’s release.

Pakistan’s operations against maritime piracy will continue. The country remains committed to the security of global maritime routes.

It is noteworthy that three Pakistanis were killed in a pirate attack in Somalia. Their bodies have been sent to Karachi.
