A week ago, the Afghanistan Freedom Front claimed to have seized Taliban posts in Nuristan and Kunar, killing 17 Taliban members. The recent clashes began after Taliban attempts to regain control.
According to Afghan media, resistance attacks against the Taliban have intensified. Operations continue across various provinces, with 23 Taliban personnel killed and 15 injured.
The resistance groups’ actions have damaged the Taliban’s military structure. Most operations are occurring in Kandahar and Helmand.
It is noteworthy that under the leadership of former Afghan commander Sami Sadat, the United Front began operations against the Taliban on August 1. Amrullah Saleh has declared Afghanistan is entering a civil war.
