Kawasaki: (RightNow) Pakistan clinches the bronze medal in Asian Games hockey by defeating South Korea. After a 2-2 tie, Pakistan scored 3 goals in the final quarter to turn the match around.
The thrilling match began with South Korea taking the lead. Korea’s Lee Gang-san scored in the 12th minute, giving South Korea a 1-0 advantage.
Pakistan equalized before the end of the second quarter. Abdul Rehman scored in the 30th minute, making it 1-1, and the match remained tied until halftime.
In the third quarter, South Korea regained the lead. However, Pakistan quickly responded, leveling the score at 2-2 in the 45th minute.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan showcased remarkable performance in the final quarter. Rana Waheed scored two goals, giving Pakistan a 4-2 lead, and Hanan Shahid sealed the victory with the final goal.
