Pakistan retains Sahibzada Farhan as T20 captain against Sri Lanka, Afridi leads ODI tri-series.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member national squad for the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka. Sahibzada Farhan, who led in the Asian Games, is appointed as the T20 captain, while Shaheen Shah Afridi remains the captain for the ODI tri-series.
The T20 matches against Sri Lanka will be held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The first match is on October 9, the second on October 11, and the third on October 13. The squad includes players like Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, and Arafat Minhas.
The ODI tri-series features teams from Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka. The initial three matches will be played in Rawalpindi, with the remaining matches and the final in Lahore.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead this series, with a 16-member squad including Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, and Shadab Khan. Mike Hesson will serve as the head coach for the team management.
It is noteworthy that for the series against Sri Lanka, the team management includes Michael Smith as the batting coach, Shaun Tait as the bowling coach, and Mansoor Amjad as the fielding coach.
