Islamabad: (RightNow) The Motorway Police announce that motorways and key national highways will be completely closed to traffic from this evening. Citizens are advised to avoid traveling on M1.

The Motorway Police spokesperson stated that Motorway M1 will be closed from Islamabad Toll Plaza to Chach Interchange. Fateh Jang, Pindi Gheb, Tarap Interchange, as well as Daud Khel, Kot Balian, and Isa Khel Interchange will also remain closed.

It is further stated that Motorway M14 from Hakla to Kundal will be closed in both directions. GT Road N5 will also be closed to traffic in both directions at Attock Khurd.

From today, entry of large vehicles on M2 from Lahore to Islamabad will be restricted. Large vehicles will be diverted to GT Road from various points.

It is important to note that due to the closure of highways, citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel to prevent any inconvenience.
