Washington: (RightNow) U.S. President Donald Trump’s popularity has further declined. His approval rating has dropped from 35% to 32% in a week.

According to a Reuters and Ipsos survey, support among Republican voters for Trump has decreased from 82% to 73%. Only 17% of Americans support Trump’s measures to tackle inflation.

Daily expenses have become a significant issue for Americans. Inflation could impact the November 3 midterm elections. The Republican Party faces an electoral challenge to maintain its slim majority.

The survey indicates growing dissatisfaction among Republicans. 51% of Republicans rejected Trump’s approach to handling inflation, while 44% supported it.

It is noteworthy that after the Iran war, the rise in petrol and diesel prices has increased public concern. Trump had promised to control inflation in January 2025.
