Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan’s Foreign Office expresses deep concern over the Houthi attack on Saudi Arabia. The spokesperson states that the situation in the region is being closely monitored.
Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan, in a press briefing, says the attack offends the sentiments of Muslims. He strongly condemns the attack on Saudi Arabia.
The spokesperson reveals that Pakistan is carefully assessing the tense situation in the region. A joint statement on the Mecca Defense Agreement has been issued by the three countries.
Sajjad Haider mentions that the situation at Bab al-Mandab is also concerning. Pakistan holds reservations over the escalating tensions.
It is noteworthy that an Indian naval ship had collided with a Pakistani naval vessel. Pakistan summoned the Indian chargé d’affaires to lodge a protest.
