Washington: (RightNow) Afghan citizen Mohammad Sharifullah has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in the U.S. for the Aby Gate suicide attack.

In the U.S. court, the jury could not agree on whether Sharifullah was directly responsible for the deaths of 13 American soldiers.

In court, Mohammad Sharifullah refused to give a final statement. The court stated that there is sufficient evidence of his connection to ISIS-Khorasan.

Mohammad Sharifullah was arrested at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and transferred to the U.S. The court took a strict stance against him.

It is noteworthy that the Aby Gate attack occurred in 2021, resulting in the deaths of 13 American soldiers during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
