Lahore: (RightNow) The SIFC’s (Special Investment Facilitation Council) support has resolved the longstanding issue of feasibility study costs for the 135 MW Tunsa Hydropower Project. Liu Yonggang, Assistant CEO of China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Limited, praised SIFC’s role in resolving the matter.

Despite the completion of the feasibility study, payment issues remained pending for a long time, which have now been resolved. SIFC’s timely efforts and effective coordination between federal and provincial bodies successfully addressed the issue.

The Assistant CEO stated that this development paves the way for further work on the 135 MW Tunsa Hydropower Project in Punjab. SIFC’s actions have increased investor confidence.

The resolution of this issue has strengthened the Pak-China economic partnership and is stabilizing the business environment and global investor confidence in Pakistan.

It is noteworthy that the Tunsa Hydropower Project began in 2011 with a capacity of 120 MW, later expanded to 135 MW.
