Islamabad: (RightNow) PTA has issued guidelines for users in case their WhatsApp accounts are hacked. Users are advised to take immediate action to recover their accounts instead of panicking.

PTA released a video explaining the recovery process of WhatsApp accounts in simple terms. Users are advised to reinstall WhatsApp and verify their accounts if hacked.

After reinstalling WhatsApp, a verification code will be received. Entering this code will reactivate the account. Completing the verification process will regain control of the account.

To enhance security after recovery, enable two-step verification. This adds an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access.

Remember, never share your WhatsApp security code with anyone. Avoid suspicious links and files to thwart hackers’ attempts.
