Qingdao: (RightNow) A fire erupted on a cargo ship at Qingdao Port in China, resulting in 20 fatalities. The blaze occurred on the Ocean Melody, which was docked for repairs.

According to media reports, 42 people were on board the ship, with 5 still missing. Twelve individuals were safely evacuated, and 5 injured were taken to the hospital.

The fire started at 11 AM local time and was extinguished by 2:30 PM. The Chinese government has ordered the acceleration of rescue operations.
