Karachi: (RightNow) The Sindh Assembly has approved a resolution by Jamaat-e-Islami to abolish the levy tax. The resolution was presented by Muhammad Farooq during the assembly session and was passed.
The session, chaired by Speaker Awais Qadir Shah, saw the presentation of the resolution. Provincial Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjhar stated that the levy tax is a federal issue, and the Sindh government cannot abolish it.
The resolution calls on the federal government to abolish the levy tax. It requests the federal government to consider removing this tax.
