Bookings for the private Hajj scheme have surged as packages are uploaded online, with prices ranging from 1.4 million to 3.7 million rupees.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The Ministry of Religious Affairs has directed Hajj organizing companies to upload their packages on the digital portal. This move has led to a surge in bookings for the private Hajj scheme.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that 16 basic packages have been finalized under the private Hajj scheme. These packages range in price from 1.4 million to 3.7 million rupees.
Under the private scheme, pilgrims can choose short-duration stays, direct international flights, and five-star Hajj packages. These options are available through the Hajj portal and the Pak Hajj app.
The spokesperson advised pilgrims to select and pay for packages only through the Hajj portal or the Pak Hajj app. The ministry will not be responsible for any losses incurred through direct payments.
It is noteworthy that 71,684 seats have been allocated for the private Hajj scheme this year, with the last date for package selection set for November 20.
