Islamabad: (RightNow) Applications for the Government Hajj Scheme 2027 are expected to open next week. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will soon formally announce the Hajj policy and scheme.

According to sources, pilgrims will have the option to choose between long and short duration Hajj packages. Costs are expected to increase compared to last year.

Under the government scheme, 107,832 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Hajj. For the private scheme, 71,888 pilgrims will be allowed under a 40% quota.

Hajj costs will be collected in two installments to ease the financial burden on pilgrims. The long duration package is expected to cost 1.2 million rupees, while the short duration package may cost 1.3 million rupees.

It is important to note that overseas Pakistanis can also apply. Only pre-registered individuals will be able to complete applications. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will announce all details soon.
