Islamabad: (RightNow) Under the Prime Minister’s Apna Ghar Program, loans worth Rs 313 billion have been approved. Housing financing approvals have increased by 117% in the last two months.

According to the Ministry of Finance, since June 2026, over 53,100 housing applications have been approved. The total value of approved loans has exceeded Rs 313 billion, while loans over Rs 45 billion have already been disbursed.

Currently, there is a shortage of 12 million homes in the country, with an annual need for 400,000 new homes. Financing under the Apna Ghar Program will boost the construction sector and create new employment opportunities.

This program will also promote local and foreign investment, benefiting the cement and steel industries.

It is noteworthy that the Apna Ghar Program aims to construct affordable homes and address the housing shortage in the country. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to provide facilities to the public.
