Islamabad: (RightNow). The federal government has issued a notification for salary and allowance increases for government employees. The Ministry of Finance has approved new pay scales effective from July 1, 2026.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the new pay scales incorporate the Adhoc Relief Allowance 2022 and 2025. Salaries will be set point-to-point from July 1, 2026.

The government states that under BPS 2026, employees will receive a 7% Adhoc Relief Allowance. This allowance will be subject to income tax and other conditions.

This measure aims to improve the financial stability of government employees. The implementation of new pay scales will also boost employee morale.

It is important to note that an Anomaly Committee will be established in the Ministry of Finance to address irregularities during the implementation of the new pay scales.
