Islamabad: (RightNow) An unexpected discovery reveals that PIMS Hospital’s nursery holds 40 to 50 children, not the expected 15. Dr. Shazia Sobia disclosed this during a National Assembly Health Committee meeting.

Dr. Shazia Sobia, speaking on Geo News’ Capital Talk, shared that she learned about the number of children during a hospital visit. She stated that the nursery housed dozens of children.

Former Advocate General Islamabad Jahangir Jadoon emphasized the need for a judicial commission to investigate the incident. He added that non-functional air conditioners increased the risk of fire.

Candles were lit in memory of the deceased newborns at PIMS Hospital. People gathered at the hospital entrances to express their grief.

It is noteworthy that Mishal Malik staged a sit-in outside the PIMS Children’s Ward. She claimed the PIMS tragedy resulted from human negligence and demanded the Health Minister’s immediate resignation.
