Islamabad: (RightNow) In Pakistan, petrol is now sold at Rs 343.10 and diesel at Rs 371.80 per liter. The federal government announced an increase of Rs 1.12 for petrol and Rs 1.11 for diesel for August 26 and 27.

Officials report that since July 17, petrol prices have increased 15 times and decreased 10 times. High-speed diesel prices have risen 18 times and dropped 7 times.

Currently, the government has decided to set petroleum product prices daily. No changes are made on Saturdays and Sundays.

This decision is due to the current situation in the Middle East, causing instability in petroleum product prices.

It is noteworthy that fluctuations in global oil prices and pressure on the national economy have compelled the government to take these measures.
