Islamabad: (RightNow) An inquiry by the investigative committee has revealed serious negligence at PIMS Hospital. The administration ignored a CDA report issued in December.

CDA raised serious concerns about safety equipment at PIMS Hospital. The hospital had outdated firefighting equipment and a faulty alarm system.

The investigative committee has sealed the letter CDA sent to PIMS. The Director General of Emergency and Disaster Management has also recorded a statement.

This issue is significant as CDA had issued an alert to PIMS administration about a potential major incident.

It is noteworthy that statements from the fire brigade staff at PIMS Hospital have also been recorded. Four officers, including the Joint Executive Director, submitted written statements.
