Uzma Khan files a contempt of court application in the Supreme Court, urging immediate hearing due to PTI founder’s deteriorating health.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Uzma Khan, sister of PTI’s founder, has filed a contempt of court application in the Supreme Court, requesting an immediate hearing. Uzma Khan claims that the PTI founder’s health is deteriorating in jail and requests his transfer to Shifa International Hospital instead of PIMS.
The application states that the Supreme Court’s order from August 18 has not been implemented, which constitutes a violation of the judiciary’s directive. Uzma Khan insists that the court’s order should be executed without delay.
The submitted application in the Supreme Court argues that non-compliance with the judiciary’s order is unlawful. The case fixation policy should not hinder the immediate hearing of the contempt case.
It is important to note that a similar request for an immediate hearing was rejected on August 25, although it is unclear whether the Chief Justice dismissed the request.
Uzma Khan appeals for the contempt of court application to be scheduled for an immediate hearing to ensure the court’s order is enforced.
