Muzaffarabad: (RightNow) The selection of a candidate for the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) is proving to be a significant challenge for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Nawaz Sharif has yet to make a final decision on the candidate for AJK’s Prime Minister. Various candidates’ political visions and support in the assembly are being evaluated.

Sources indicate that PML-N leaders have suggested considering alternative options for the premiership. Barrister Iftikhar Gilani from Muzaffarabad has also entered the race for Prime Minister.

The next phase will be decided after the notification of reserved seats is issued. Once the candidate’s name is approved, the process of forming the government will proceed.

It is noteworthy that the political focus in AJK is on Nawaz Sharif’s decision.
