Doha: (RightNow) Iran has expressed concern over the deteriorating health of three Iranian pilots detained in Qatar. Iran has appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross for immediate action.

Brigadier General Mohammad Baqerzadeh, head of the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff, has voiced concerns about the pilots’ condition. He stated that the health of the pilots detained in Qatar is at severe risk.

General Baqerzadeh mentioned that the pilots are held within maritime boundaries and requested Qatar to admit them to a hospital. He has appealed to the Red Cross to send an air ambulance to transfer the pilots to Iran.

Qatar has decided to accept a team of Iranian experts. This development follows Iran’s claim of the pilots’ detention after an attack on a US airbase in Qatar, which Qatar has dismissed as baseless.

It should be noted that Iran had previously claimed the detention of pilots in Qatar following the disappearance after an attack on a US airbase. Qatar has denied these claims.
