Islamabad: (RightNow) PTA and Google have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance child online safety. This MoU aims to promote a safe online environment and responsible digital use for children.
The MoU includes key points to increase awareness, education, and cooperation for child online safety. Parents and teachers will be provided with practical guidance, tools, and resources.
Under this initiative, content will be available in English, Urdu, and local languages, and a nationwide awareness campaign will be launched. PTA officials state that mutual cooperation for child online safety is essential.
Promoting digital literacy among children and families is a priority. This development coincides with the opening of the American tech giant’s local office in Pakistan.
It is noteworthy that the company took this step nearly 4 years after its initial registration in Pakistan. This progress is considered a significant milestone in strengthening ties with the country.
